TONBRIDGE LIONS HORSE SHOW
RULES & CONDITION OF ENTRY
- The decision of the judges and organisers is final. All objections must be lodged in writing with the Secretary within 5 minutes after the finish of the Class together with a deposit of £15, which will be refunded, should the objection be upheld.
- In order to gain access to Lodge Farm with a horse WHETHER COMPETING OR NOT, it is essential that the person responsible for the horse must be registered and obtains a Number. Any horse led or ridden without a number will not be permitted entry onto the Show ground.
- The Organisers and Lodge Farm disclaim any responsibility for anything that may happen to competitors or onlookers, their horses, vehicles or any of their property at this show. It is a condition of entry that each entrant shall agree: a) that the Organisers & Lodge Farm shall not be responsible to the entrant for any accident happening, injury, loss or damage suffered by the entrant or any damage or loss of any chattel or property belonging to or in the possession of the entrant in connection with the Show and b) to indemnify the Organisers & Lodge Farm against any legal action arising from his/her entry in the show and c) to take full responsibility for damage caused by thier horse or vehicle.
- BHS approved HARD HATS MUST BE WORN & FASTENED AT ALL TIMES when mounted. Correct dress must be worn in all classes.
- Anyone found riding in a dangerous manner or ill-treating an animal will be asked to leave the show ground and Entry fees forfeited.
- ALL ACCIDENTS must be reported to the Secretary.
- Entries to all Classes will be limited at the discretion of the Organisers and they reserve the right to refuse any entry or to close any class and to alter the order, timing or composition of the schedule without reason.
- DOGS must be on a LEAD & under the control of A RESPONSIBLE PERSON AT ALL TIMES.
- Riders competing on the Leading Rein may only enter Classes in Ring 7, Condition & Turnout, In Hand Classes, Fancy Dress and Leading Rein Gymkhana. Leading Rein riders must remain on the leading rein AT ALL TIMES when mounted.
- No horse or pony under the age of 4 years may be ridden at the show.
- No whips or spurs are permitted in Gymkhana events. No misuse of whips/spurs will be tolerated.
- Entry Fees will not be refunded unless a Veterinary or Medical certificate is produced before the commencement of the show. Challenge trophies are the property of Tonbridge Lions and must be returned when requested. A £10 deposit is made on all Challenge Trophies which will be returned on receipt of the trophy.
- TWO PHASE (Rule 192). A Rider who jumps a clear round will continue immediately over the Jump off Course and the bell will only be rung if the rider has not completed a Clear round.
- The Show may be cancelled if the ground is too wet. Check with the Secretary. In case of cancellation a fee of £4.00 per entry will be kept to cover costs and for donations to the Charities.
- All Class winners will be requested to pay a cash deposit of £10.00 for their trophy which will be refunded next year.
HEALTH AND SAFETY: Lodge farm and the Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and MUST obey the instructions of the organisers and all Officials and Stewards.
